Those who remember, Huawei had said that they would be launching their latest flagship, the P10, in Kenya this April. However, information reaching us is that the company is not yet ready to launch the device locally, that will happen in early May but they have opened up pre-orders for the device for those who want to get it first.
To encourage its customers to pre-order the P10, Huawei has bundled a free tablet worth Ksh.13,000 with 4GB of data, 3 months warranty covering screen replacement and custom engraving of your choice on your device, but only for the first 100 customers.
This is an attractive offer but it does not come without its downsides. For one, only the gold color variant will be available for those who pre-order, all the other fancy colors such as the the Hyper Diamond-Cut finish Dazzling Blue, Greenery, Rose Gold, Mystic Silver, Graphite Black and Ceramic White will be available at launch locally.
Available at Safaricom Shops countrywide, the pre-order runs until April 30th and the device will dent your wallet Ksh.65,000. A much higher price tag than we saw with the Huawei P9, but hey, you gotta pay for those incremental upgrades and fancy colors.
The highlights of the Huawei P10 are the Leica-branded dual cameras (12MP + 20MP) at the back and a new 8MP Leica selfie camera. The other specifications can he found here.
