Itel’s latest smartphone, the S32, is a budget smartphone that aims to offer you double the fun thanks to is dual selfie cameras. The biggest highlight of the phone are the 2MP and 8MP lenses you find at the front.
The two lenses are a combination of a standard lens (2MP) for solo selfies and a wide-angle lens (8MP) for group selfies. These lenses can even work together to produce portrait selfies (blurred background) through the “blurred background” effect accessible on the camera settings.
Aside from the dual selfie camera, the phone comes with an 8MP shooter on the back, a 5.5-inch IPS HD display with 2.5D curved glass, a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6737M processor combined with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD Card all powered by a 3000mAh battery and Android 7.0 Nougat running the show.
Admittedly, the phone does look rather appealing in terms of design. Itel is also bragging of other capabilities of the S32, which include a rear mounted fingerprint reader that will not only be used for biometric security but can also be used as a gesture pad to take selfies, answer phone calls and launch certain apps when you scan a different finger.
The Itel S32 is a camera-centric smartphone and thus the company has included a couple of software tricks to improve the user experience such as live filters and an instant share button to quickly share images on social media.
Unfortunately, the phone misses on 4G LTE capabilities but at a mere ask of Ksh.9,599 that can easily be overlooked. The phone is available in all Itel shops across Kenya, including 3C Hub and Ropem Shop in Nairobi.
