Everybody likes a good deal and it is not uncommon to see discounts of tech devices. It could be store related, manufacturer related or on a special day like Black Friday.

Huawei has a number of ‘Y’ series smartphones in the Kenyan market and they have one at the most popular price points. Today they announced that these phones will be getting price cuts and this is pretty good news for people looking for such smartphones.

According to Huawei, the Y9 2019 will now retail at Kshs 20,999. The Y7 Prime 2019 (64GB version) will retail at Kshs 16,999 while the 32GB version will retail at Kshs 15,499. The Y6 Prime 2019 will retail at Kshs 12,499 and the Y5 2019 will retail at Kshs 10,499.

The Y9 2019 was originally priced at Kshs 24,999 when it launched in October last year. The Y7 Prime 2019 was between Kshs 18,000- 19,000 depending on where you got it from. The Y6 Prime 2019 was Kshs 13,499 and the Y5 2019 was previously priced at Kshs 11,499.

The massive priced drop of the Y9 2019 is probably attributed to the release of the Y9 Prime 2019 and the decrease in price of the P30 lite. The Y7 Prime 2019 (32GB) version dropping to the 15K region makes it even a better buy for most people out there. The Y6 Prime 2019 and the Y 2019 each dropped by Kshs 1000 bob each, which makes them even more competitive in that insanely competitive juncture.

The discounts Huawei has levied on their devices will be available across their retail stores in the country.

Interesting enough, they are also offering gift hampers for every Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 purchase which is not included in the discount deal.

So if you were looking for a phone, you should check out this discount deal by Huawei at their retail shops countrywide.
