Huawei P40 Showcases its Camera Prowess in These Leaked Images

If you’ve been holding on to get a premium Android smartphone that excels at photography too, then the Huawei P40 is the one to look out for. The Chinese tech giant will soon be unveiling the P40 series this Thursday(26th March) that include the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Premium. The company has already announced the Huawei P40 Lite and the Huawei P40 Lite E.

The P40 and P40 Pro will stick to a very slightly curved display. There will be selfie camera cutout on the displays with the Pro sporting a bigger cutout probably to host more sensors. Two front-facing cameras on the Pro and Premium and one on the regular version.

On the internals, the P40 and P40 Pro are expected to ship with Kirin 990, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage while the Premium variant is set to have 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Android 10 and EMUI 10.1 will run the show. Other features include a 6.7″ 1440×3160 OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and the Kirin 990 5G chip.

P40 Premium will have a rear Penta-camera setup that features two separate zoom cameras. The periscope module that could reach 10x optical zoom with 240mm focal length while the other module will stop at 3x zoom.

They’ll be a main 52MP lens and custom SONY RYYB sensor(1/1.28), 3D ToF depth sensor and a temperature sensor for accurate colour temperature, a 40MP ultra-wide camera(Sony IMX650 1/1.5 sensor)Huawei P40 camera layout

The P40 Pro will have 52MP main camera, the 40MP ultrawide, 5x telephoto camera while the P40 will sport a 52MP main camera, a 3X telephoto and an ultrawide.

The details and colour are amazing. The blur effect is perfect.

Other features worth noting is that the P40 Pro and P40 Premium will support 40W SuperCharge support while P40 will support 22.5W charging.

For pricing, the P40 Po Premium is expected to start from €1,199 and go to €1,299, the P40 Pro to start from €999 and go to €1,099 while the P40 to start from €799 and go to €899.
