How often do you use your Bluetooth headphones to listen to tunes or watch a film on your PC? If it is frequent then you may have experienced cases where pairing your headset and the computer takes a couple of seconds to complete, and you thought the exercise could be fast.

There is a feature in Windows 10 called Swift Pair that I discovered today, and it eliminates these problems for good. The feature, however, is only available for version 1803, also known as the April 2018 Update.

Swift Pair, as its name suggests, hooks up your Bluetooth peripherals to your computer in a timely manner, and also works as Android Fast Pair. This means that your earbuds can connect to Windows 10 PCs in no time if they are in pairing mode, and this is how do it:

  1. Open the Setting menu on your PC.
  2. Click on devices
  3. Click Bluetooth and other devices.
  4. Scroll downward and check the ‘Show notification to connect to Swift Pair,’

You will then be able to connect to your Bluetooth peripherals from the toast notification menu immediately.

To use the feature, make sure your headphones are always in pairing mode. If you are close to your PC, a toast notification will appear. Click Connect and that just that.

I have tested the feature with the Galaxy Buds+ and it works flawlessly. The Buds+ can also be connected to multiple devices. You can, therefore, stream music from them interchangeably without disconnections and reconnections.
