Right after announcing that they are launching the Huawei Y6p to the Kenyan market, Huawei will also be launching the Huawei Y8p that now joins the Huawei Y7p and Huawei Y6s launched early this year.
The Huawei Y8p brings competition in the Kenyan smartphone market packing heat according to its features.
The Huawei Y8p rocks a 6.3″ OLED display with a resolution of 2400 by 1080 pixels that covers 90.17% of the front of the phone disrupted by the teardrop notch that houses the selfie camera.
There’s in-display fingerprint scanner too.
The Huawei Y8p come switch a front and rear glass cover. However, the frame is plastic. There’s a headphone jack and a Type-C USB port at the bottom.
For optics, you get a 16MP selfie camera and at the back is a 48MP setup that also includes an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 2MP depth sensor.
The Huawei Y8p comes with Handheld Night Mode that uses onboard AI and camera sensors for well-lit shots in low light situations.
Under the hood is Kirin 710F chip and Mali G51 MP4 GPU coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
The phone runs on EMUI 10.1 and Android 10. Like the Huawei Y7p and other newer Huawei phones, Huawei AppGallery comes installed as there’s no support for Google’s apps and services.
The Huawei Y8p comes with a 4000mAh battery.
The Huawei Y8p will come in Breathing Crystal and Midnight Black.
