Android 11 has been here for a while, but not a lot of devices, especially in Kenya.
Only a handful of manufacturers have managed to send the update to their existing devices.
One of them is Samsung, which has done a good job giving its line of smart handhelds a cosmetic and system overhaul in the name of Android 11 under the One UI 3.0 skin.
Newer devices, specifically the S21 line, have since been launched, but they ship with a bumped up OneUI 3.1.
The software, for the moment, is a reserve for the three devices under the S21 Series umbrella.
However, Samsung says that it will trickle down to additional devices, but that might take time.
Still, Samsung has named the devices that will be updated to OneUI 3.1, and our guess is that it will happen sooner than later.
OneUI 3.1 is particularly cool because it ditches Bixby for Google Discover on the left home panel.
It also has other improvements in the area of camera and general photography.
These are the devices that will receive the update:
- Galaxy Note 20
- Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
- Galaxy-Z Fold 2
- Galaxy Z Flip
- Galaxy S20 FE
- Galaxy-S20
- Galaxy S20+
- Galaxy S20 Ultra
- Galaxy-Fold
- Galaxy Note 10
- Galaxy Note 10
- Galaxy S10+
- Galaxy S10
- Galaxy S10e
- Galaxy Note 10 Lite
The list is quite robust, and as seen, features mainly flagship lines. However, older devices such as the S10 series are still receiving some love from the South Korean tech giant, and we expect the same thing will continue to happen in the coming days.
