Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 series is slated to soon launch in Kenya.

These are the subbrand’s latest smartphones set to succeed the popular Redmi Note 9 series in the country and here’s everything you should expect about the launch:

Redmi Note 10 ships with a 6.43″ AMOLED display with a centred hole punch to accommodate the selfie camera.

Running the Redmi Note 10 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 678 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of fast UFS 2.2 onboard storage. There is an option to expand the available storage with a microSD card slot(512GB).

Redmi Note 10 comes with Android 11 and MIUI 12 straight out of the box

In terms of optics, Redmi Note 10 comes with a 48MP quad-camera setup that also comprises an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. 

For selfies, we have a 13MP front-facing camera housed in the punch-hole. The selfie camera offers video recording in 1080p resolution.

Powering the Redmi Note 10 is a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast Type-C charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics, a headphone jack, stereo speakers, an infrared blaster and an IP53 rating.

Its big brother, the Redmi Note 10 Pro comes with a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED display that features a 120Hz high refresh rate and HDR10 certification.

This makes the Redmi Note 10 Pro the first smartphone in the country to launch with the highest refresh rate. Budget and midrange devices with 90Hz refresh rate are already available in Kenya.

For the Pro variant, Redmi runs on a Snapdragon 732G processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage with the same expandable options as its smaller sibling.

Redmi Note 10 Pro comes with Android 11 and MIUI 12 already baked in.

Redmi Note 10 Pro packs a slightly bigger battery at 5020mAh battery with support for 33W fast wired charging via Type-C port.

For photography, Redmi 10 Pro packs a 108MP quad camera setup that also includes an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera. 

The punch-hole cutout accommodates the 16MP selfie camera.

Redmi Note 10 series will be launching on April 10th in the country in an online launch.

Xiaomi is bringing the two devices in various configurations including:

Redmi Note 10 Pro – (6GB RAM/64GB storage, 6GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage
Redmi Note 10 – (4GB RAM/64GB storage and 4GB RAM/128GB storage)

Xiaomi will be giving away 200 Mi band 5‘s for people who will be watching the Launch event.

Pre-orders for the Redmi Note 10 series will become available after the launch and each pre-order will come packed with a FREE mi band 5.

  1. Snapdragon 678? Hehe this is a joke. Will they be lauching the Poco F3 as well? with Snapdragon 870 this is the device I can buy.
