Education CS George Magoha will announce KCSE 2021 results any time from now.
The examinations, which ended in late April 2021, came in late because of the ongoing COVID -19 pandemic.
Previously, the exams would be done from October to November. Results would then follow later before New Year’s Day.
In this installment, students stayed at home for more than six months as the country battled the pandemic. They only resumed classes in late 2020, with only a small window to prepare for the national exams.
As usual, students, parents, and guardians can check their results using SMS. This is a proven way to do so because of its reliability and speed.
The code has not changed; it is the same 20076 and can be used across all Kenya networks. All you have to do is send the index number of the student to the code.
The SMS costs KES 25.
However, you might have to wait for the CS to release the results before sending the SMS.
The other platform is the KNEC website but often, it is not reliable at this time because of too much traffic. However, it is the best platform for school heads to pick an entire set of results for their institutions.
Here is how to check on the site;
- Open www.knec.ac.ke
- Click on the Results tab
- Choose year 2021
- Enter your index number
- Submit
- The next screen should show your results
The results arrive barely a fortnight after the release of KCPE. The Class 8 pupils are still at home awaiting high school selections that will start on May 28.
