The M-PESA app is officially here, having been in the pilot phase for more than six months.
The app, as its name suggests, packages nearly all M-PESA features and tools for its millions of customers under one roof.
Also, the mobile money app packages other lifestyle features under the Discover tab in what Safaricom calls mini-apps. Basically, utility services such as ProGas can be accessed from the software after just a couple of clicks.
Safaricom is presenting the tool as a super app, and it is already nearing those numbers following 1.3 million installs in just under half a year.
