Kenyans Have Been Obsessed With Football and Love Making in the Last 15 Years

Google Trends is celebrating its 15^th anniversary.

To this end, the search and ad company has revealed top results by Kenyans in the last decade and a half.

For context, top searches are all about what led Google’s charts, whereas the ‘most searched’ are queries about the most popular terms, in this case, for the past 15 years.

The data is interesting because it reveals what many Kenyans are interested in.

Google says that the EPL, as well as FPL, show is football the leading searched item in the general category. Kenyans have also been searching for more information using terms such as, and Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards, and Harambee Stars in the local scene.

You can also tell which other search terms have been prominent in Trends. For instance, Kenyans are interested in online shopping (they Googles Jumia Kenya and Jiji Kenya a lot of times).

Locals are also interested in new job opportunities, which is where Brighter Monday featured in the list.

On the political side of things, the following politicians were searched extensively: President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, William Ruto, Miguna Miguna, Mike Sonko and Babu Owino.

Kenyatta University, University of Nairobi, and Moi University emerged as the most searched after institutions followed by Maseno and Mount Kenya Universities.
