We are in the last days before Android 12 goes live on October 4th.
Android 12 is slated to make a flashy entrance and Android smartphone manufacturers are gearing up and polishing their Android 12-inspired user interfaces for their respective smartphones.
Google Pixel 6 series will probably be the first smartphone to launch shipping Android 12 right out of the box and probably the OnePlus 9 RT that will launch with OxygenOS 12.
What we do know so far is that OPPO is bringing ColorOS 12 on September 16th to succeed Android 11-inspired ColorOS 11.
The date was confirmed through an official OPPO page post on Weibo. On September 16th, ColorOS 12 will be receiving its final public release and will be dropping at 6PM China time(1PM Kenyan Time).
ColorOS 12 is set to bring features from Android 12 including new quick tiles, new widgets, improved one-handed mode, notification settings, visual overhaul, new app pairs for split-screen, privacy improvements and more.
As usual, OPPO will update some of its smartphones to Android 12 and ColorOS 12 in the coming days and in Kenya, the list includes the OPPO Reno6 5G, OPPO Reno5, OPPO Reno 5F, OPPO Reno4, and maybe OPPO Reno3 and the OPPO A93.
