OPPO ColorOS 12 Officially Launched

Android 12 is finally here and OPPO has just officially launched ColorOS 12 for its devices. ColorOS 12 is based on Android 12 which succeeds ColorOS 11 from last year.

ColorOS 12 first rolls out to the OPPO Find X3 Pro 5G and later to other devices including:

OPPO is planning to roll out the ColorOS 12 update up to 110 models with 150 million users before the end of next year.

OPPO devices released in 2019 and onwards will also get:

  • Three major Android updates and 4 years of security updates for its flagship Find X series.
  • Two major Android updates and 4 years of security updates for the Reno series, the F series, the K series and the highend A series(three years of security updates)
  • One major Android update for the entry level A series and three years of security updates.

ColorOS 12 Features

ColorOS 12 brings a new inclusive UI, smoother performance, rich features and comes packed with softer icons and animations.

OPPO adds that ColorOS 12 has an average of 30% lower memory occupation and 20% lower battery consumption.

ColorOS 12 ships with features such as PC Connect, 3-Finger Translate powered by Google Lens, FlexDrop, Private System, Private Safe, App Lock, App Cloner and Phone Manager.

ColorOS 12 brings Android 12 inspired features like the Wallpaper based theming in Material You, updated Privacy Dashboard, Approximate Location Sharing, Microphone and Camera Indicators.
