TikTok isn’t getting a break with rival apps trying to clone its features. The latest app to jump on the trend is Netflix.
The streaming giant is rolling out Kids Clips – a TikTok clone feature aimed for children. Netflix hopes this feature will help it younger viewers discover programming.
Kids Clips will showcase short videos from Netflix’s current library of movies and programs for Children. This feature will have new clips posted daily based on their upcoming and current titles.
Netflix is trying to get younger viewers who watch TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels and help them discover more titles the platform has in its catalogue.
Netflix recently launched Fast Laughs, a similar feature that highlights comedy clips in its app.
Videos in Kids Clips will be horizontal and young viewers can only watch 10 to 20 clips at a time.
This feature will roll out in the iOS app in Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America, Ireland, Canada, Australia and the U.S.
