Twitter Blue, the social media giant’s subscription service is getting a new feature added as the platform has acquired Threader.
Twitter Blue went live last week for the U.S and other countries.
Threader is an iOS app that allows users to create and share long-form threads on Twitter.
Twitter Blue already has a reader mode that compiles threads into an easy-to-read format – something Threader does.
Threader announced that it will shut down, a month from today – December 15.
They will cancel all existing subscriptions but users who had premium features will still get to use them before the shutdown.
A partial refund will be sent to members on the annual premium tier. Threader adds that users who had the annual subscription can request a refund from Apple.
Threader says that users will be able to export their saved bookmarks from the settings on the web and iOS.
Marie Dennis, Threader co-founder will join the Longform team at Twitter.
Twitter has been on acquiring spree which now includes Revue, Breaker and Sphere.
