itel P38 series comes with a stylish unibody design featuring a fingerprint scanner at the back and geometric art colour that includes Nebula Black, Galaxy Blue and Spruce Green. The camera island housing the dual-camera system is where the fingerprint sensor is included too.
The word Play is also engraved on the back.
itel P38 ships with a 6.6″ HD+ WaterDrop FullScreen sporting a 90% screen-to-body ratio and narrow bezels.
itel P38 series runs on Android 11 Go Edition. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and PowerVR GE8320 GPU paired with 2GB of RAM and storage configurations that start at 32GB with the option to expand via an external microSD card.
For optics, we have an 8MP dual camera setup at the back and an additional VGA camera. For selfies, we have a 5MP selfie camera housed at the waterdrop notch.
Camera modes to play with include Bokeh and Panorama.
Powering the itel P38 series is a hefty 5000mAh battery. It has a micro-USB charging port that supports 15W fast charging. itel says that a ten-minute charge will support a three-hour call. A full charge will last you 12 days on standby, 26 hours of continuous talk and 51 hours of continuous music playback and 10 hours of video playback.
At the bottom, you’ll get the microphone, headphone jack and bottom-facing speaker.
Apart from the rear fingerprint reader, you get face unlock for biometrics too.
It’s worth noting that this is a dual 3G sim smartphone.
itel says that they’ll bring the itel P38 Pro later during the month.

itel P38 series goes for Ksh 10,500 at itel official retail stores countrywide and also on e-commerce platforms like Jumia.
itel Kenya has an ongoing Shopping Festival that will have consumers who buy its gadgets win prizes including cash. The itel Shopping Festival has been ongoing since mid-month and will close later in June.
