OPPO midrange smartphones pack a lot of punch in terms of their price-performance ratio. They rank high in our list of best mid-range smartphones in the country.
Most of the OPPO smartphones listed below already run Android 12 alongside ColorOS 12. And thanks to OPPO’s timely updates, we expect Android 13 to be available to most of them later this year.
OPPO Reno7 4G
OPPO Reno7 4G is the company’s entry-level device in the Reno7 lineup.
It ships with:

- 64MP main, a 2MP microscope and a 2MP depth sensor
- 6.43” AMOLED display capped at a 90Hz refresh rate that supports HDR

OPPO Reno7 5G is the top dog in the Reno7 Lineup in the country.
It comes with:

- 64MP main coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro.
- MediaTek Dimensity 900 with Mali G68 MC4 GPU

I’m largely impressed by the OPPO Reno7 5G – it’s a full-feature upgrade with a fantastic display, pretty great and versatile camera, speedy performance, solid battery life and slim design.
Sadly, OPPO has yet to update the OPPO Reno7 5G to Android 12 until now. That’s the only qualm I have with the phone.
Nevertheless, you’ll be levelling up when you pick the Reno7 5G.

OPPO Reno6 5G
OPPO Reno6 5G is still holding its own 11 months after it was launched. Early this year, it got the Android 12 update which gives it an upper hand over its successor that’s still running on Android 11.
It’s in line to get Android 13 so that should give it a few more years.

OPPO Reno5 is undeniably better than its predecessor, the OPPO Reno4.
OPPO Reno5 has a gorgeous gradient design with starry black and fantastic silver, an impressive 64MP quad-camera set-up, robust hardware in the form of the Snapdragon 720G chip, 90Hz AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, stereo sound, 50W ultra-fast charging and excellent battery life.
It runs Android 12 and ColorOS 12 straight out of the box. All these offer incredible killer value.
OPPO Reno5 Review: Basically Perfect
if you’re looking for a mid-range smartphone that does everything pretty well, this should be your first choice. It’s still early in 2021, but we don’t see another smartphone coming along anytime soon to unseat the OPPO Reno5 in the midrange category.
