OPPO Reno8 T 5G Launch

OPPO Reno 8T series will be launching later tomorrow(8PM local time) to join its other siblings in the Reno8 series that launched late last year. It will come in 4G and 5G versions powered by various chipsets.

In a first for the company, the OPPO Reno 8T series will have fiberglass leather design instead of a plastic back. It has a leather stitching pattern at the sides which the company says gives the phone a premium feel and look.

OPPO Reno 8T will bring a 6.57″ curved OLED screen sporting 120Hz refresh rate.

A Snapdragon 695 5G chipset will power the 5G version while the 4G version will have a Helio G99 processor. OPPO Reno 8T has 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage.

It will ship with Android 13 and ColorOS 13 straight out of the box. The OPPO Reno8, Reno7 and Reno6 also run on Android 13.

Like the OPPO Reno8 series from last year, it has a 32MP selfie camera. At the back, we have a 108MP triple camera setup for the 5G version while the 4G version will have a 100MP main lens accompanied by a 2MP microscope(40x zoom) and 2MP monochrome lens.

OPPO Reno8 T Specifications and Price in Kenya

OPPO Reno 8T has the industry’s first Orbit Light found inside the camera module.

OPPO Reno8 T 5G be powered by a 4800mAh battery with support for 67W fast-wired charging while the 4G version will have a bigger 5000mAh battery that supports 33W charging.

In preparation for the launch, OPPO revealed Willy Paul, Nadia Mukami and Nameless as the brand ambassadors for the Reno 8T series.

“These talented stars have constantly invoked a sense of excitement and reaching for greater heights in their respective careers. This resonates well with OPPO and with the new OPPO Reno8 T, we are giving our users a levelled-up experience with the phone. We can’t wait for consumers to experience it,” said OPPO Kenya PR manager Fredrique Achieng.

OPPO will bring the Reno 8T series to the country in an online launch on February 16th.
