Vivo has today officially launched the Vivo V27 series. The midrange lineup is made up of the Vivo V27 Pro, the vivo V27 and Vivo V27e. The devices boast new upgrades in the design and cameras.
We expect the V27 and V27e to launch locally later this month. They both have AMOLED screens at 6.78″ and 6.62″ for the vivo V27 and V27e respectively. Both screens support HDR10+ and 120Hz refresh rate.
MediaTek processors power the phones with the Dimensity 7200 5G for the V27 and Helio G99 for the V27e. Both phones rock 8/12GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage options starting at 128GB and 256 GB.
Vivo V27 lineup comes with Android 13 baked right in paired with FuntouchOS 13.
When it comes to photography, the V27 has a 64MP main accompanied by a 2MP macro and 8MP ultrawide while the V27e has a 50MP main plus a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. All of them record video capped at 4K 30fps and 1080p at 30fps. They come with features like Hybrid Image Stabilization, Super Night Video and Real-Time Extreme Night Vision
Vivo V27 has a 50MP selfie camera while the V27e has a 32MP selfie camera.
The pair has a 4600mAh battery and support for 66W wired charging. Colour options include Flowing Gold and Emerald Green for the Vivo V27 while the V27e comes in Lavender Purple and Glory Black.
The Vivo V27 series still features the colour changing back from the previous V series of last year. This design stands out as the colour darkens in tone when outdoors under direct sunlight or UV light and it gets bluer than the turquoise it originally comes in.
Pricing is expected to start from around Khs 51,000 for the vivo V27 while the V27e starts at Ksh 37,000.
