OPPO Reno10 5G is the latest camera-focussed midranger in the country and it delivers on all the core features a device in that space should have and more.
Reno10 is a solid upgrade from its predecessor the Reno8 from last year. It now uses glass for its front and back with Asahi Glass Dragontrail Star 2 protection. For easy handling we have a matte finish back.

Our unit is the sleek black version which I really love. The colour gradient back is really attractive.
Something that I have been using a lot is the IR blaster(IR Remote app comers included) the phone comes with that helps control our LG Air conditioner, especially in the recent days when it’s been getting warmer across the country.
The phone comes with dual microphones for better calls. I have loved using the optical under-display fingerprint reader in combination with the face unlock – especially the latter as a quick glance unlocks the phone in seconds.
The screen is class-leading and is a 10-bit 6.7″ AMOLED curved screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits brightness, HDR10+ support and 100%+ sRGB/DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. I was streaming Netflix content in FHD(L1 Widevine) and HDR which is pretty sweet. So if you’re huge into binge watching and social media browsing, you’ll definitely enjoy the Reno10.

Reno10 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G processor. It also has 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM(8GB onboard and 8GB virtual RAM).
In the few days I have been using the phone has delivered superb performance even with demanding tasks. Gaming is handled pretty well but the Reno10 will get a little bit warm but it cools really fast thanks to its impressive thermal management.
Running the show is Android 13 and ColorOS 13.1. It recently got updated with the August security patch.
The phone will get up to 2 years of major Android OS updates and 3 years of security patches.
There’s a 5000mAh battery inside that supports 67W fast wired charging. So far I have been getting a day and a half of mixed-use.
Reno10 keeps its camera-centric mission like its predecessors with a new setup in the pill-shaped island. We get a 64MP primary camera, a 32MP portrait telephoto(2x Zoom) lens and an additional 8MP ultrawide camera.

You can record video at 1080p 30fps UltraSteady and 4K 30FPS.
There’s a 32MP selfie camera in the cutout and supports video recording with 1080p 30/60fps with Ultra Steady.

Stay tuned for our full camera tour.
So far, the Reno10 5G boast excellent performance, premium build design, ultra-fast charging, brighter, bigger and faster screen, and better cameras including the portrait telephoto.
Our full review will be coming out later.
