The AI dish Google has been cooking is now served. Last year, Microsoft ran off with ChatGPT and Copilot. Google’s response at the time seemed to be a struggle on what to name it’s AI platform. However, what was known as Bard has officially been released as Gemini.
It is not a new platform completely. Bard has been with us for sometime now but it was clearly in testing phases. Today, the generative AI platform Gemini is available in 40 languages on the web, and now it’s coming to mobile on Android and iOS.

Gemini Advanced comes with the Al model Ultra 1.0. It also comes with 2 TB of storage as part of the Google One Subscription. Google promises that soon, users will have Gemini in Gmail, Docs, and more. This will make it similar to the Copilot Assistant in Microsoft.
What’s Ultra 1.0
According Google, Ultra 1.0, is it’s “most capable AI model”. It will only be available in Gemini Advanced. The AI model will aid in highly complex tasks like reasoning, following instructions, coding and creative collaboration. “The largest model Ultra 1.0 is the first to outperform human experts on MMLU (massive multitask language understanding), which uses a combination of 57 subjects — including math, physics, history, law, medicine and ethics — to test knowledge and problem-solving abilities.” Wrote Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet.
