WhatsApp is rolling out a new update that now introduces a way for users to easily find the people and groups they interact with the most. This was announced this week by WhatsApp that users will now be add specific contacts or group chats to the ‘Favourites’ list.
With this update, users will now be able to separate the chats that matter to them the most from those that they see regularly on the chat screen. This filter can also include calls so that one can easily speed-dial their family or friends.
To make this possible, simply tap the “Favourites” filter and choose the contacts or groups you want to keep on top. In the Calls section, you can also tap “Add Favourite” and select your most frequent callers. To fine-tune your Favourites list, just go to Settings > Favourites > Add Favourites.
The new update is set to continue rolling out to all users worldwide in the next few weeks.
This comes at a time when WhatsApp has been introducing several other features including ones meant to safeguard users. Others include the voice note transcribe feature, which was noted recently by WABetaInfo reporting that the messaging is currently testing a feature designed to help users avoid the hassle of going through audio messages.
