Xiaomi is set to make a big stride into AI by integrating DeepSeek AI into its proprietary HyperOS operating system.

This advancement aims to enhance user experience by providing AI-driven tools for writing, coding, and problem-solving. The integration is facilitated through the Super XiaoAI assistant, which now incorporates the DeepSeek-R1 model to offer improved automation and more intelligent responses.

During initial testing phases, users operating on HyperOS 2 gained access to these innovative AI features. Activation of Super XiaoAI is user-friendly, requiring simple voice commands such as “Open Deep Thinking” or “Open DeepSeek.”

The system is designed to accommodate both voice and text inputs, providing flexibility to cater to diverse user preferences. The AI capabilities have demonstrated utility in various domains, including coding, content creation, and complex problem-solving, marking a substantial advancement in Xiaomi’s AI technology.

With the introduction of DeepSeek AI, Xiaomi aims to be competitive alongside established AI models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Huawei’s Pangu AI.

Supported Devices

Xiaomi has officially announced that over 25 devices will support the Super XiaoAI assistant with DeepSeek AI integration. The list of compatible devices includes:

  • Premium Flagships: Xiaomi 15 Pro, Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 14 Ultra
  • Professional Line: Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Edition, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14
  • Redmi Series: Redmi K80 Pro, Redmi K80, Redmi K70 series
  • Foldables: Xiaomi MIX Fold 4, MIX Flip
  • Tablets: Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, Pad 7, Pad 6S Pro 12.4

This extensive support underscores Xiaomi’s dedication to making advanced AI features accessible across a wide range of devices, ensuring a broad user base can benefit from these enhancements.

The global rollout of HyperOS 2.1 is imminent, with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra among the first devices to receive the update. Xiaomi plans to expand the availability of these AI features to more devices in the near future, reflecting the company’s commitment to continuous innovation and user-centric development.

Other than Xiaomi, more brands are expected to follow suit by rolling out DeepSeek AI to their devices, including Huawei, Honor, OPPO, and vivo.
