The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has announced that its online system will be unavailable this weekend due to scheduled preventive maintenance.
According to a notice issued by the Director General, the maintenance begins tonight, on Friday, 17th July 2026, at 8 pm and runs until Monday, 20th July 2026, at 8 am.
This means Kenyans will not be able to access NTSA services online during this period. The services affected include driving licence applications and renewals, motor vehicle registration and ownership transfer, vehicle inspection bookings and certificates, traffic fine payments, PSV licensing and badges, as well as vehicle search and verification services.
The authority has apologised for any inconvenience the shutdown may cause and asked members of the public to be patient as it works to improve service delivery.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to offer quality services to you,” the notice read.
After 8 pm today, motorists with pending licence renewals, vehicle transfers, or fine payments will need to wait until Monday morning, when online services resume.
