RIM aquires tungle.me


In a newsletter message yesterday, Tungle team of brand name Tungle.me announced that the company has been aquired by RIM (Research in motion), the Canadian company that owns the Blackberry brand. They did not disclose though, the amount involved.\tungle.me

Tungle announced that they were eager to work with the tablet and smartphone industry, and figuring that RIM is a dominant player, they decided to work with them.


“Our plan today is what it has always been – for Tungle to become integrated with your daily activities and be ubiquitous within the applications you’re already using. When you think scheduling, Tungle should be at your fingertips, ” Said Marc, CEO and Founder of Tungle.

Tungle.me is an online calendar that connects to your  Outlook (with or without Exchange), Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Entourage for Mac, Lotus Notes, BlackBerry Yahoo!, Windows Live, Facebook, TripIt and Plancast.
