It’s nolonger a rumour that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the device being launched later in the month at IFA in Berlin. The date is also confirmed to be the 29th. A Samsung rep allegedly told Reuters that the device being launched is the Galaxy Note 2, and most of us expect it to be running some Exynos Quad Core goodness, 5.5 inch screen and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Now you would expect the phablet to be larger and for those who still havent gotten comfortable with the size of 5.3″ smartphones get the feel that this is going quite far with the phablet dream.
That could be quite further from the truth, since what I gather is that the bezel on the phone will be narrower, hence the phone’s overall size will remain the same, quite an upgrade huh? Now you can start dreaming of the goodness that is a 5.5 inch smartphone with a quad core processor, add the stylus and the premium suite apps, the outcome of the Samsung Smart Apps challenge and we have a winning combination.
Which brings me to this question, will this smartphone make two devices obsolete? The Google Nexus 7 and the mini iPad? What’s your opinion on this?
