Microsoft has decided to change what we have been seeing for the last 25 years as the logo. Looks like Microsoft decided to go simple. The main logo is still the 4 colour window minus the wavey feel to it. More like what we have come to got used to on Windows Phone. Microsoft aims to maintain a common look across all Microsoft products and previously we have seen what the Windows phone logo and Office 2013 look like.
There is also the aim to provide a familiar experience on all devices, PCs, phones, tablets and TVs. Did somebody just mention TVs? Yes, I got it from Microsoft’s mouth. The new logo is already in three of Microsoft’s retail stores today (Boston, Seattle’s University Village and Bellevue, Wash.) and will shine brightly in all stores over the next few months. It will sign off all television ads globally. And it will support products across various forms of marketing. Fully implementing a change like this takes time, so there may be other instances where you will see the old logo being used for some time.
Crisp and simple:At least they have maintained the windows feel..Memorable too which what every logo should have.
Well anyone noted that Windows and Chrome have the same colour? Well Windows came first, just for the record.
