Just like Samsung created the brand Galaxy to go with their Android devices, seems they have decided to discard the Omnia brand for Windows 8 onwards. Maybe it’s just to start on a clean slate with an option for a new numbering system. ATIV brand was launched with the ATIV s Smartphone, ATIV Tablet, ATIV Smart PC and ATIV Smart PC Pro. Now that’s a handful that would require a new name. Has Apple patented that yet?
Now onto serious matters, ATIV was surprisingly unveiled before the joint Nokia-Microsoft event that is going to happen on September 5, dont know what this means, but it sure means alot to Microsoft should ATIV pick well on mobile and Tablets.Whichever the OEM that makes this happen.
