Nokia has added a 15th device to the Asha range of devices that serve as an upgrade to the Series 40 feature phones. On first look you will notice it looks like a blend between the once famous Nokia N8 and Nokia C7 in design. The Asha 310 is special in that it’s the first of the Ashas to sport both Dual-SIM and WI-Fi in the same box.

The Nokia Dual SIM has a feature called Dual-SIM swap that allows you to hot swap a SIM card without the need to switch off the device. This also has ability to remember settings of upto 5 SIM cards (I wonder who has all those) so even if you don’t reboot, the SIM will pick networks and all other things like messages and call logs.

As usual, Asha continues to come with the “40 free EA games from Nokia store” package. Xpress browser allows you to compress data so you can use limited data especially if your MNO has that priced high. You know nowadays they came clear, “we don’t do unlimited internet”.
Nokia Asha 310 features:

  • 2MP camera VGA
  • FM Radio
  • Data: EDGE/GPRS
  • Full Touch capacitive Multi-touch
  • 3.0 inch WQVGA
  • 20MB internal storage with 4GB microSD out of box can do 32GB
  • Pin Charger/USB charging, MicroUSB
  • BL-4U Battery with 1110mAH (does 17 hrs standby)
  • Dimensions: 109.9 x 54 x 13 mm and weight: 103.69g

The Asha 310 will be available in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Brazin within this quarter, colour options will be black, white and golden light while price will be $102 before taxes.
