Multichoice Kenya started a weekly promo on the 5th of February 2012 where a DStv subscriber will win Kshs 600,000 every week. This reward is open to any DStv subscriber as long as they are connected and consistent in subscription. The first draw was held today the 13th of February in the presence of bloggers and a representative of BCLB at Nailab on Ngong road. The winner of today’s draw is a certain Chris Mugambi who is a doctor by profession. Chris is subscribed to the Access package on DStv and with this Multichoice wishes to reassure Kenyans that any subscriber stands to win. Upon being called, Chris was about to go into surgery and almost hung up the call when Shose Oyalo of Multichoice pleaded with him to give her a few more minutes.
This is a weekly draw so every week we will be seeing a winner. The first random winner to be called was a certain Zulaika who unfortunately had left the phone with another party. This made her lose the chance as Multichoice is clear in their terms of engagement that the person registered in the account is the one they call. In the case of Zulaika, she is the one who registered the account but in essence the account is owned by another party, so if you own a DStv account, make sure your details are the ones Multichoice has, unless some 600k doesn’t mean much to you.
At the same event, in the spirit of partnerships, Nailab Incubation received a full installation for DStv from Multichoice.
