Samsung Electronics East Africa through their mobile department have been selling the Galaxy Music for a few weeks now, and they decided to make the music experience complete by adding a stand case that will double up as a stand. Galaxy music as you may know by now, is a device developed for the music experience, while not compromising on other features in an Android phone.
The Galaxy Music comes in two options, the Galaxy Music and Galaxy Music Duos, and it’s one of the few devices that come running Android 4.0.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. With 4 Gb internal storage expandable to 32 GB, 512 MB RAM, 3 inch TFT Capacitive Multi-touch screen at 240 x 320 pixels, 850MHz Cortex A9 Processor and 1300 mAh battery, this device brings quite a fight to the entry level. Today was not about the Galaxy Music, but the accessory that is the case.
Samsung added this case that would otherwise be priced at Kshs. 1500 for free to complement the Galaxy Music. Every purchase of Galaxy Music in Kenya gets one a free case that serves as three things:
- Cover to insulate the device from falls and keep the surface smooth,
- Firm grip when holding, notice the sides and
- Stand for listening to music, reading and watching videos.
The stand comes in quite handy when you need some stereo music on your desk, you know many of us work best when there is some soft rock humming in the background. The case was made specifically for the Galaxy Music on request by Samsung Kenya office to bundle with every purchase, so you wont find one anywhere for purchase. The firm grip on the sides is quite efficient if you love that feel like you are holding the phone. The case conveniently leaves out the speakers that are spread out at the top and bottom of the phone to give the uninterrupted stereo output. I have to admit it does look a bit too rugged but if ruggedness in a phone doesn’t bother you you will like it.
