Partnership between Automattic and DataSift Opens up WordPress.com to Data Analytics

Automattic and DataSift have entered into an agreement for the use of public data on Automattic sites. Automattic is the creator of WordPress.com and sites powered by Jetpack. The WordPress CMS is currently used by 20% of all websites. DataSift customers will be able to access the full catalogue of public data hosted on Automattic’s sites including posts and comments on WordPress.com and sites powered by Jetpack.

DataSift provides a cloud platform over which their customers can gain insight through data analytics including the monitoring of social media, financial trading and business intelligence. The partnership now gives DataSift clients access to a multi-platform aggregate of social data sourced from Twitter, Facebook, bit.ly, Tumblr, Instagram.
