Robot creators tend to prefer real time operating systems (RTOS’s) over Linux. For the most part Linux has mostly been utilized when higher level functions are required in robot creation for instance when Wi-Fi access is required.  Hobbyists, educational robots and even NASA rovers have turned Linux into a major force into the robot world. Following is a slideshow of 10 notable Linux robots.
