Meerkat, the popular live streaming application that just became available on Android as a beta not long ago has now shed that beta tag and is available for download to everyone with a capable Android device.
Meerkat is of particular interest to us because Twitter’s own live streaming application, Periscope, is still an iOS exclusive. Meerkat has recently moved to court Facebook after Twitter limited the application’s access to its social graph as it seeks to push Periscope. Now Meerkat users can live stream on Facebook as well though that functionality is yet to come to the Android application.
