Instagram seems to be testing a combined edit screen for Android

Droid Life seems to have noticed a revamped page on the latest version of Instagram (ver. 7.3.0) which has two virtual buttons at the bottom for edit and tag. This is usually the page just before hitting the check mark to post the picture on Instagram.

Previously, you were given an option to crop your photo and apply your filters in one page as shown in the first page and then proceed to the second page where you could geotag the image & share to your various social media  accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr & Flickr).

Now in the new update, it seems like they have brought the functionality of the first page to the second page where now you can edit the picture & add location tags right in the share page. I think the company wants to reduce the number of steps to prepare the images you want to share so that it becomes easy to share on the go. This is a welcome change.

I have updated the app afterwards but it is not showing the changes although Droid Life says that it is rolling out via the server side.

Instagram has been trying to improve the user experience of the 300 million plus users of the platform by iteratively changing its app on desktop and mobile and this new update will make its loyal users share filtered images & video way quicker than before
