A few months ago we told you our esteemed readers that we had been nominated for the 2016 edition of the BAKE Awards. We were nominated in two categories including the Best Technology Blog and Kenya’s Blog of the Year. BAKE announced the fifth edition of the Blog Awards in January. The announcement of the awards subsequently opened up the submission phase, where anyone could nominate their favorite blog in Kenya. 4, 899 blogs were submitted for consideration by the judges, who then picked the best 5 in each category. Voting in the awards begun on March 3rd and closed on 1st May 2016.
The gala dinner for the awards took place this past weekend, where Techweez emerged winner in the Best Technology Blog category but lost in the Best Blog in Kenya category to Biko Zulu. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who voted for us in the awards and we shall strive to ensure we deliver high quality content to you our esteemed readers.
