Yesterday, Twitter announced that they are going to shutdown the Vine app, which was rather shocking for a much loved network. Vine was famous for letting users upload 6 second long videos and although it looked like a ridiculously short time for anything, it surely gave us gems that we can see even today.
While Twitter made the decision to kill off Vine, other parties seem to be quite interested in the network and it came from the most unlikely of companies: Pornhub.
According to CNET, they have apparently obtained a letter from the Pornhub VP Corey Price that was directed to Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey of their interest of the now defunct social network.
We figure since Twitter has dropped (Vine) and his having significant layoffs, that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine. Not to mention we would be saving Vine gems like ‘Damn Daniel’, ‘Awkward Puppets’ and many more.
That is not all, Pornhub has other plans for Vine. They apparently promise to “restore Vine to its NSFW glory where they said that clips “of porn in six seconds is more than enough time for most people to enjoy themselves.”
Well this is not a bad idea to sell Vine to Pornhub and Twitter is shutting down the app anyway. However, it could drastically change how we view Vine in general although Pornhub says they would save those “Vine gems” acquired over time.
We wonder what Vine’s founder is thinking right now with this Pornhub’s proposal to buy Vine…
Don’t sell your company!
