OPPO Kenya has announced that it will be bringing the self-proclaimed selfie-king, the OPPO A57 into the Kenyan market this month. The A57, which was announced globally back in November 2016, is OPPO’s latest selfie-focused smartphone and the company is not selling short the phones selfie prowess with its marketing tagline, “unstoppable selfies”
The highlight of the phone is the 16MP front camera, placed at the top left corner coupled with a 13MP camera on the back. Weird, I know. Most companies would have the 16MP at the back, but no, not OPPO. The selfie camera with a new bokeh effect, “which will give the selfies an effortless distinction, offsetting the subject of the photo with a blurry background”.
The selfie camera also comes with “beautify 4.0”, which helps capture “breathtakingly detailed photos, giving bright, head-turning shots even in low light”. The OPPO A57 is clad in a metal uni-body design, and its home button doubles as a fingerprint sensor. The Smartphone also features a sleek back finish with curved edges.
The whole package is powered by a 2900mAh battery and runs on OPPO’s ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The OPPO A57 spots a 5.2 inch 720P HD LCD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory and is powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor.
