OPPO’s latest mid-range flagship the F5 has finally gone on sale in the open market a few days after it was only available through pre-order. The F5 is the latest device from OPPO and it brings to the table the usual array of selfie prowess that OPPO is well known for alongside other goodies such as an 18:9 Full HD display, better than good 16MP main camera, a beautiful design, fingerprint reader, face unlock and A.I powered selfies.
The F5 comes with an Octa-Core Helio P23 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone also supports 4G LTE, packs a 3200mAh battery and comes with ColorOS 3.2 running on top of Android 7.1.1.
For those who pre-ordered the phone, they can collect it from the respective shops they placed their orders and they will receive several free accessories that will include an Official Barcelona Backpack. Those who had not placed an order during the pre-order period can still get the device from any OPPO branded shop or Safaricom Shop and they will get a gift hamper for a limited period.
If you are interested in getting the higher spec’d model, OPPO F5 6GB that comes with 6 gigs of RAM and a desirable RED color, OPPO says the phone will be available before the Christmas bells ring for Ksh.40,000 and there will also be an OPPO F5 Youth that will cost much less but will come with a less powerful camera (13MP main and 16MP selfie) and reduced RAM at 3GB. However, the F5 Youth will include the rest of the specs from the standard F5, including the full-screen display, same processor, same battery capacity and even the same colors, i.e Black or Gold. The F5 Youth will be available as from January 2018.
