Since Mobile Money Interoperability was launched in Kenya, we have seen great improvements and even lower prices to send money from one network to another. Telkom recently announced their interoperability with Safaricom’s M-Pesa and to encourage T-Kash users to use the service, Telkom has been awarding T-Kash users an amount similar to the transaction cost paid by the M-Pesa user.
To send money from M-Pesa to T-Kash:
- Dial *234*1*8#
- You will see M-Pesa Tuma Pesa Popote pop-up menu
- Enter recipients number
- Enter PIN when prompted
Alternatively, there is the easier process from the mySafaricom app that allows you to send money to other networks, and you can add the number to send money to.
