The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is jumping on the elevating camera bandwagon. The Huawei Y9 Prime is following the Huawei P Smart Z that also features the pop-up selfie camera but rocks a triple camera set up at the back.

Huawei has been on a roll lately releasing budget and flagship cameraphones such as the Huawei Y6 Prime 2019, Huawei Y7 Prime 2019, the Huawei P30 series and the Huawei Mate 20 series. The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is the latest to join the ranks of these phones as the Chinese company continues its upward trajectory with excellent smartphone revenues now ranking the second in global sales.

What does the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 pack?

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 rocks a pop-up camera that houses a 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 lens. On the back is the triple rear setup, an upgrade from the Huawei P Smart Z and last years Huawei Y9 2019 which pack dual rear cameras.

On the back, you get a combination of 16MP(f/1.8) main, an 8MP(f/2.4) wide-angle shooter with 120 degrees FOV and 2MP(f/2.4) depth sensor units.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 will feature a bezel-less 6.59-inch 2340×1080 screen and the elimination of the teardrop notch will give users a full view display experience that phones like the OPPO Find X, OPPO F11 Pro, Vivo NEX S, Energizer phones and Samsung A90 pack.

Under the hood, we expect a Kirin710F (12 nm) processor that combines with 4GB RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. You’ll also get a 4000mAh with USB Type c port on the bottom and a rear fingerprint sensor.

Pricing

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is speculated to cost from under KSH 30,000. We’ll update this article with more info as new details emerge.
