Galaxy Note10Samsung has today revealed their long awaited bunch of flagships and this time round, we get to see TWO new Galaxy Note devices: Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+.

It still follows the same formula we have been used to from Samsung phones. It has the same curved glass and metal sandwich we are used to in flagship phones. However, it differs from the S10 family in a number of areas.

The Galaxy Note 10 has a 6.3 inch 1080p AMOLED display while the Galaxy Note 10+ has a 6.8 inch 1440p AMOLED display. The display is HDR10 certified and has Corning Gorilla Glass on top for protection. The display goes almost corner to corner and looks absolutely fantastic thanks to the tiny bezels. There is still

The selfie camera is at the middle, which looks better in my opinion and it is a key differentiation when comparing it with the Galaxy S10.

The Galaxy Note 10 family is powered by the same chips as the Galaxy S10 family. This means you have a choice of either the top of the line Snapdragon 855 or Samsung’s own Exynos 9825. You can get it with either 8/12GB of RAM and either 256/512GB of fast UFS 3.0 internal storage, which is as high end as it gets. It is interesting that the microSD card expansion is only on the Note 10+. Note 10 is limited to 8GB of RAM while the Note 10+will go upto 12GB or RAM.

The cameras are also the same as the Galaxy S10. You get three primary cameras that are now arranged vertically. You still get the same main 12MP camera with a variable aperture (f/1.5-2.4), 12MP f2.1 aperture zoom camera and a 16MP f/2.2 ultra wide camera. There is also a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor for depth mapping on the Note 10+. The selfie camera is still the same 10MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. They’ve added a few features on the camera software like audio zoom, live focus in video and improved stabilization.

They have changed some things with the Galaxy Note 10 family. There is NO headphone jack which is sad since Samsung was one of the last major companies to retain the headphone jack. Samsung will give you USB C earbuds in the box and no dongle, so yeah this is the new world order.

Samsung also did a weird thing with the Galaxy Note 10 series. The power button is also the Bixby button. When you tap the button, it wakes the phone and when you hold it, it launches Bixby. To switch off the phone, you have to use the new software button under the notification shade.

The Galaxy Note 10 family still features its signature S-Pen  that has defined this series. They’ve added some cool features like the one where you can search your handwritten notes. you can even use the S-Pen as a wand for ‘air actions’ to swipe between modes in the camera app for example.

The Galaxy Note 10 will have a 3400mAh battery while the Plus will have a 4300mAh battery and a 25W charger in the box but you can get a 45W charger that is sold separately. They also both support fast 15W wireless charging.

The Galaxy Note 10 will start at $949 while the Note 10+ will start at $1099. There will also be a Galaxy Note 10 5G version available later, which is a strategy we saw with them with the S10 family. It will ship in white, blue, black and a stunning aura gold one for the Note 10+.
