More Than 11,000 People Watched the Wrong Champions League Final

A lot of things happened last night at least local time. One major event was the highlight, at least for football lovers.

PSG(Paris Saint-Germain) was playing against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final. The game was hosted at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica(Estádio da Luz) in Lisbon.

The final was played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic and so the stadium was virtually deserted.

This was the second European Cup final between the two teams from Germany and France – the previous one was between Saint-Etienne and Bayern in 1976 and the latter worn 1-0.

This was Bayern’s 10th European cup final while it was the first for PSG. The German team has had five wins and five losses. If they won, it would be their sixth time to clinch the crown.

Another interesting thing worth noting is that yesterdays final was a chance for both teams to complete the ‘treble’ – winning all the three most significant competition of the season which includes the national title, national cup and the Champions League cup.

The game was really tight as both teams were on their toes. In the semi-final, Bayern beat Barcelona 8-2.

Bayern’s Kingsley Coman finally scored a header goal at the 59th minute and gave the Bavarians a much-needed victory. Kingsley had previously played for PSG as a youngster before joining Juventus and then landing on Bayern.

The team became the first one to win every single game they’ve played in the Champions League.

The game could be watched on various platforms including BT Sport 1, CBS, Univision, TUDN, and Supersport.

Viewers could also access pirated streams to watch the game.

Last night, a YouTube channel streamed the wrong game that had more than 11, 285 people watching it.

The channel was live-streaming(the video is now unavailable) a past game between the two teams that played in December 2017 in which Bayern beat PSG 3 goals to 1.

Kingsley was also present in the game that was played in the 2017/18 season.

The game was also being played in the wrong stadium, with recently retired players and actual fans watching it.
