Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G Review Techweez

Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G

Infinix has spun out a slew of phones in the Note 12 series in recent months. We’ve gotten our hands on some of them including the Note 12i(Read our review here) and the Note 12 VIP(Read our review here) and now it’s the Pro 5G‘s time that landed on our review desk.

Inside the box you find:

  • a transparent TPU case
  • a pre-applied screen protector
  • an 18W fast charger
  • and a type-A to Type-c cable
  • a pair of earphones
  • XPARK booklet
  • Care+ cover
  • customer service card
  • XCLUB Join Club Card
  • sim ejector tool

DESIGN

The back features a nice design with the Infinix 5G logo at the lower back. It’s matte at the bottom for easier handling. The camera island sits at the top left. It still has the same 108MP main camera as the Note 12 VIP but the complementary cameras are switched to a 2MP macro and a 2mp depth sensor.

At the front is a 6.7″ AMOLED screen protected by corning gorilla glass 3. It has a nice screen paired with dual speakers featuring DTS audio – perfect for consuming content.

PERFORMANCE

Under the hood is MediaTek’s Dimenisty 810 6nm 5G processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. You can expand with 5G virtual RAM.

This is a powerful setup and you’ll be getting top-notch performance and the phone flies when it comes to multitasking and gaming. This is a 5G phone and we got more than average 5G speeds at Two Rivers where we were getting speeds up to 157Mbps.

BATTERY LIFE

Note 12 Pro 5G has a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging and juices up from 1% to 95 per cent in under an hour. It has enough charge to last you through the day and some more.

CAMERAS

We have a powerful camera package that also includes the 16MP selfie camera and the main camera setup which we’ve talked about above.

The photos look sharp with good contrast and detail and the colours are bright and have proper saturation levels to share straight to social media.

The selfie camera also took above-average shots and portraits.

The cameras held themselves up even in low light.

Overall, the Note 12 Pro 5G has more than capable cameras.

VERDICT

The Note 12 Pro 5G is worth considering now that 5G is making inroads in the country and it is comparatively affordable. Plus you are getting very impressive features like powerful cameras and a stunning screen.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G goes for Ksh 33,499. It is available offline at the company’s retail stores countrywide and online too at XPARK – their official online store and other online e-commerce partners.
