If you’re a Safaricom customer, you might recall a time when network outages were a common and frustrating thing. However, the telco has made significant improvements to its systems and services, resulting in fewer disruptions and greater reliability.
Gone are the days when Safaricom would announce extended network maintenance periods that could last for hours, causing inconvenience and even losses for its customers. Nowadays, such announcements are rare, and when they take place, they’re typically for shorter durations.
Nonetheless, the carrier is requesting customers to make arrangements for a period of thirty minutes tomorrow.
This is because there is a planned network maintenance work that will take place between 0130 hours and 0200 hours, Sunday, February 19.
Here are the services that will not be available:
- M-PESA Paybill
- Buy Goods
- International money transfers
- M-PESA App
- Pinless top-ups
All other services, including calls, data, SMS, and other M-PESA services will be functional.
Here is the statement from the company:
As we continue to deliver more innovations to our customers and support their needs as they evolve, we will be carrying out a planned network maintenance on the morning of Sunday 19th February 2023.
To minimize inconvenience to our customers, the said services will briefly be unavailable between 1:30 AM and 2 AM.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support as we continue to enhance our services to serve you even better.
