OPPO A98, A78 and A58 Launching in Kenya Soon

OPPO A98

After the successful launch of the OPPO Find N2 Flip and the OPPO Reno10 5G series in the country, the company is set to bring new devices in the midrange A series which includes the OPPO A98 5G, OPPO A78 and OPPO A58.

OPPO A58

OPPO A58 4G is the entry-level device in the lineup. It comes with a 6.72-inch 1080p LCD screen sporting 680 nits brightness. It will be powered by Helio G85 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

It has a dual main camera setup made up of a 50MP main and a 2MP depth sensor. It also has an 8MP selfie camera.

OPPO A58 ships with Android 13 and ColorOS 13.1 straight out of the box.

It will come with stereo speakers, side-mounted fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port, and will be dual nano-SIM.

It also has a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Half an hour of charging will take it to 56% from empty.

OPPO A58 will come in Glowing Black and Dazzling Green colours.

OPPO A78 4G

OPPO A78 4G will have a 6.43-inch 1080p AMOLED screen featuring 90Hz refresh rate and 430 nits brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

it has a Sanpdragon 680 4G chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage. It comes with Android 13 and ColorOS 13.1

Just like the A58, the A78 has the same camera setup which is a 50MP main and 2MP depth sensor. It also has an 8MP selfie camera.

It comes with stereo speakers, IP54 water and dust resistance, an under-display optical fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port, and will be dual nano-SIM.

It has a 5000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging. A 30 min toss in the charger will get you to 76% from empty.

It will come in Aqua Green and Mist Black colours.

OPPO A98 5G – Ksh 45,999

OPPO A98 5G is the top dog in the series. It has a 6.72-inch 1080p LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 680 nits brightness.

Snapdragon 695 5G processor powers the phone together with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It has Android 13 and ColorOS 13.1 as well.

OPPO A98 5G has a tripe rear camera setup made up of a 64MP main, 2MP microscope(f/3.3 34mm) and 2MP depth sensor. It also has a 32MP selfie camera.

It comes with stereo speakers, an under-display optical fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port, and will be dual nano-SIM.

Like the A78, the A98 will have a 5000mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging. 18 minutes will juice up your phone to 50%.

It will come in Dreamy Blue and Cool black colours.

Pricing and Availability

OPPO has yet to diclose how much the three devices will cost and we’ll have to wait till the launch date to get all those details – so stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted.

UPDATE: OPPO A98 5G will go for Ksh 45,999.
