Airtel Money Kenya has today announced a new partnership with eCitizen that will see its customers enjoy up to 25% lower transaction fees when making payments to the platform compared to the current market rates. The telco says the integration of its mobile money services with the eCitizen platform will allow customers to seamlessly pay for over 9,000 government services. The services include applications and renewal of passports, issuance of e-visas, and driver’s license applications, among others.

In a statement shared today, Anne Kinuthia-Otieno, the Managing Director of Airtel Money Kenya, adds, “Airtel Money’s decision to partner with eCitizen aligns with our commitment to offering convenience by collaborating with essential day-to-day service providers for the benefit of customers. This partnership also reflects Airtel Money’s support for government-led initiatives, making it a perfect opportunity for further growth and innovation.”
