Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Realme, has unveiled the latest additions to the company’s portfolio. The latest lineup includes two smartphones: the Realme 12 Pro and the midrange Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G, with both smartphones shipping with Android 14 and Realme UI 5.0.
The Realme 12 Pro 5G series officially unveiled today for the global markets in India, will be getting a local debut slated for February.
The two smartphones come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display, up to 120Hz refresh rates and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel has a peak brightness of 950 nits and a 2160Hz PMW dimming for eye comfort.
The Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The smartphone gets up to 12GB of memory with storage options of 128GB and 256GB.
It comes with a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor and a 60-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom. There’s also an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. Additionally, you get a 32-megapixel front-facing camera on the Realme 12 Pro Plus.
The Realme 12 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and comes with up to 256GB onboard storage and 8GB memory.
It also has a triple camera setup at the back featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main sensor with OIS, a 32-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS and 2x Optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. The Realme 12 Pro gets a 16-megapixel selfie camera at the front.
Both devices pack a 5,000mAh battery with 67W “SuperVOOC” charging, which the company claims can charge up to 50 percent in 19 minutes while a full charge will only take 48 minutes.
Prices and availability
The Realme 12 Pro 5G starts INR25,999(KES50,472) for the 8GB/128GB option with the 8GB/256GB model going for INR26,999 (KES 52,413). It comes in Navigator Beige and Submarine Blue colour options.
In contrast, the Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G will go for INR29,999 (around KES58,240) for the 8GB/128GB variant with the 8GB/256GB variant going for INR31,999 (around KES62,120). The 12GB/256GB option is priced at INR33,999 (around KES66,002). It is available in Submarine Blue, Navigator Beige and Explorer Red colour options.
