OPPO Reno12 series will be launching next week. The midrange series succeeds the Reno11 and Reno10 series from last year and OPPO is bringing huge upgrades across the lineup including the base model.
The OPPO Reno12 series will have a curved FHD OLED screen measuring 6.7 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone will be a Dimensity 8250m processor for the base model and a Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition chipset for the Pro version. The two will ship with Android 14, ColorOS 14, and 256GB storage. RAM will start at 8GB for the base and 12GB for the Pro and up to 8GB of virtual RAM.

ColorOS 14 is feature packed with AI and includes the Trinity Engine which is supposed to make the phone feel fast, AI-powered Smart Touch, Smart Image Matting, Smart Charging, Picture Keeper, Auto-Pixelate, Phone Link, Quick Launch Apps, Split View, Flexible Window, Smart Sidebar, File Dock, and Snapchat Shortcut.

Cameras get upgraded too as we’ll see the base Reno12 have a 50MP primary with OIS and dual 8MP cameras. The Reno12 Pro has a different primary setup which is a 50MP main with a rumored custom Sony sensor and OIS, an 8MP ultrawide plus a 50MP portrait telephoto with up to 2X optical zoom.
The OPPO Reno12 series will have a new 50MP selfie camera which is a shift from the usual 32MP frontfacing camera of the Reno11 series. Its sister brand, Vivo has used this same 50MP selfie for the V23, V25, V27, V29 and V30.
The Reno12 series will have a 5000mAh battery and 80W fast charging. They will also have IP65 ingress protection.
The launch is happening in a week on 23rd May.
