While the OPPO Reno11 series is finally in Kenya, the company is prepping to launch its successor, the Reno12 series.
Staying true to the camera-centric theme of the midrange Reno lineup, OPPO is bringing improvements to the Reno12 lineup.
Before we get to the cameras, OPPO is using an unnamed processor from Mediatek, probably a Dimensity chipset aptly named MediaTek MTK 24M.
It is worth noting that the Reno11 series is powered by MediaTek chipsets – the Dimensity 7050 for the base model and the Dimensity 8200 for the Pro.
The same Dimesnity 8200 was in the flagship Find X6. The Find X7 series has Dimensity 9300 for the regular and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Ultra.

It is expected that the Reno12 Pro will have the Dimensity 9200 processor.
The Reno12 series comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will also have Android 14 and ColorOS 14.
The Reno12 series has a curved FHD OLED screen measuring 6.7 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The regular Reno12 will sport a 50MP primary with OIS and dual 8MP cameras.
It will also have a new 50MP selfie camera which is a shift from the usual 32MP frontfacing camera of the Reno11 series.

Vivo, OPPO’s sister brand has the camera-centric V series that has been using the same 50MP front-facing camera seen on the V23, V25, V27, V29 and V30.
The Reno12 Pro has a different primary setup which is a 50MP main with a rumored custom Sony sensor and OIS, an 8MP ultrawide plus a 50MP portrait telephoto with up to 2X optical zoom. The Reno11 and Reno10 series came with a 32MP portrait telephoto(2x Zoom) lens.
Both phones will have a 5000mAh battery and 67W fast charging. They will also have IP65 ingress protection.
The Reno12 series is expected to launch in June.
